About G. Foster
Gregory Foster is an emerging visual artist from Chicago, Illinois, whose ability to tell compelling stories through still imagery evokes the emotional depth typically reserved for authors and filmmakers. Blending influences from fashion and music, his artistic pursuits often culminate in striking visual compositions that are both thought-provoking and culturally resonant.
Gregory’s signature style is defined by a meticulous attention to detail paired with a purposeful minimalism. With a career in painting and sculpture that spans over two decades, his creative journey began during his formative years in both Chicago and Atlanta.
One of his most acclaimed bodies of work, the Ebony/Jet series, was born from a personal desire to see himself reflected in powerful, positive Black imagery. Deeply inspired by the essence of Black soul and cultural identity, Gregory once shared, “I desire to help us return to a time when Black families could all have quality art in their homes.”
